SoulEssence

Business Website & Brand Identity

A client reached out for help desigining an original multi-page website and brand identity for her new sound healing business "SoulEssence". We worked together closely to bring her creative vision to fruition.

Logo

The client communicated her wish for a logo symbolically evocative of the Sun in a black & gold color scheme. Driven by her feedback, I went through 30+ iterations until arriving at the finished logo which emphasized clean, delicate lines to manifest her vision of elegant simplicity.

Business Card

After finalizing the logo, the client asked if I could design a business card to help advertise her new endeavor. Working with her on the logo over so many interations helped me understand her design philosophy and I was able to complete the business cards with minimal revision. (I've redacted personal information for privacy reasons).

Website

Finally, it came time to create the website. Continuing to work with the client's valuable feedback, I used Squarespace to design a five page professional website. The branding remains consistent throughout, incorporating the black & gold of the logo as well as photography from the Hubble telescope to evoke themes of deep healing and transcendence.

I ensured the website is full of CTAs to improve customer acquisition and encourage visitors to sign up for a session. I created a favicon based on the logo and integrated Acuity Scheduling and Square payment for automatic booking. My last step was to teach the client how to make minor updates and changes to the website, but I continue to be available for post launch support.

"Elon really listens to his clients. He is patient and will work the design until your vision manifests into reality.  He truly wants you to express your ideas and make changes that bring you closer to your goals. It doesn’t matter how many small changes are requested."

Rights of Nature

Local Environmental Nonprofit Website

I partnered with the local nonprofit "Rights of Nature Santa Cruz" and volunteered to design a website to help support the goal of granting legal rights to nonhuman entities. Please read more about the globally expanding "Rights of Nature" movement here.

For this project, I used Squarespace to create an informative multi-page website. The purpose of the website is to help educate the public as well as encourage interested visitors to donate their money, time, and skills to an important movement. I made sure to include many CTAs and contact forms to achieve this purpose.

Landscape film photography from Santa Cruz artists creates a visually striking effect and drives home the emphasis on local environmental conservation. The live website can be viewed here.

"Elon was a pleasure to work with: a great communicator, throughful, and compassionate, with a strong eye for design."

Greg Sculpture

Portfolio Website

For this commission, I worked with a prolific sculptor who wished to publish his artwork online. Using Squarespace, I created a simple portfolio website including "Home", "About", and "Contact" pages as well as blog posts for each of his sculptures. I followed a minimalist design philosophy, limiting any bright colors or gaudy design elements so as to let the art speak for itself. The live website can be viewed here.

"Elon created a beautiful website in a timely manner for a very reasonable price. He is a delight to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend him."
